Scared child

CANCER Jan, 04, 2013

A fear can offer comfort. That may sound like a strange thing to hear, but it’s true, Moonchild. That’s because a fear is familiar, it constructs boundaries, and it limits you from taking certain risks. Feeding a fear is, in one way, safe. If you just accept that fear as yours and you make no move to release it from your life, you can always count on it being there to restrict you from going too far or risking too much. But a certain fear of yours is holding you back from something wonderful. It’s time to overcome it and move beyond it.

I think I always have had fear of change, and fear of the unknown. I like to live a ritualistic routine life; what I’m trying to say is, I do best when I follow a routine almost anally or ritualistic. If I don’t, I tend to get flustered, or confused, or sidetracked really easy.

I think this may have a little to do with the fact that I believe that I have a light case of Asperger Syndrome, which is a mild case of Autism, and I only have a very light case of the Asperger Syndrome, but it does affect me at times.

I don’t know what this “wonderful” is that my fear is keeping me from reaching, I guess I will have to keep my eyes open for it.

Kidney stone

Kidney stone (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Well,

I am writing this up after the fact, on Thursday, 2013.01.17, since I was not able to do so at the time.

I got the stomach flu sometime in the middle of December, I thing around the 14th, ended up in the ER because I passed out and hit the floor from a sitting position in a chair.

Then, about 4-6 days later, I ended up back in the ER with severe pain around my right kidney, and as I feared, I had a 5mm kidney stone. The doctors said it was brought on by the dehydration the stomach flu caused because of all the diarrhea, so I went into this Monday, 2012.12.31 to have the kidney stone removed using a catheter probe.

It went well, but they had to install a stent to keep the urinary tract open for any residual stones and shards coming out. They also gave me meds for pain and antibiotics for the infection.

Needless to say, I was not happy or in good shape these last few weeks.

I will be retroactively posting more to the blog over the next few days.

Rough night…!

I had a rough night last night… I was suffering with diarrhea last evening and all the way to 1AM.

We are also fostering a pitbull-mix puppy and the poor dog is having explosive diarrhea, so I was up at 1AM, 2:30AM and 4:30 AM cleaning up after her as well.

Needless to say both the dog and I are exhausted and tired.

I decided to at about 6AM to send an email to the boss and team that I wasn’t going to be in this morning… I hope to feel up to going to work later today.
