CANCER Jan, 29, 2013

You are very good at making lists, Moonchild. Having a solid, black and white guide to doing what needs to be done makes you feel more secure. But the problem is that you have been so disorganized lately that even your lists are getting lost or they’re changing too fast to be meaningful. It’s time to sit down and make one big, serious list of everything. Mark down what you want to accomplish and the steps you need to take to do so. Let this be your master list. Post it somewhere that will be obvious every single day. Then follow the steps one by one. You will accomplish your goals if you take the list seriously.

Yup, I have made lists in the past, but they either don’t work, or get stuff stacked on top, or shoved into a pocket, or some other reason why they fail.

I guess I need to renew my list making effort, and actually follow through with them. I’m thinking I need to make a master list of major goals I want to accomplish, and then make a few mini list of sub-tasks that need to be accomplished in order to complete the main goals.

I suppose I can put the mini lists on my iPhone (or future Android phone), maybe using the Google Tasks in gMail.

We’ll see how that goes LOL.

CANCER Nov, 27, 2012

You may be in a dark mood now, Moonchild, and if you are then that could be contributing to the way you see the rest of the world. It could seem to be a bleak and foreboding place right now. There are so many people you cannot trust. There is little hope that things will get better. That’s not really true, but if you believe it to be then you will make it so. You need to find a way to snap out of your gloom room and back out into the bright light of day. Nothing is as bad as it seems now, unless you choose to linger on the dark side. Find your way back to the light.

Again, I’m not sure how much to make of horoscopes, but this is turning out to be another one that fit the bill.

I keep checking my horoscope from my iPhone with the app I mentioned in this post, and I would say 40-60% of the daily horoscopes tend to be somewhat applicable, so I may just decide to pay a little more attention to them.

This app I use also has the Chinese yearly and the Celtic Tree horoscopes, and they seem to be fairly applicable, as well. I think I will be posting all the horoscopes that seem to apply to me over the next few weeks and see if I see a trend or pattern, and try to interpret what I think the horoscopes are trying to tell me.

Dropbox App

Dropbox App (Photo credit: Funkbreaks)

In my previous post about Dropbox, I said I would make comments about Dropbox.

I just wanted to say, so far I’m impressed how well it works, and it automatically uploads all my iPhone photos to a folder inside the Dropbox folder on my hard drive, and syncs them to the Dropbox cloud. That has got to be my most favorite feature so far.

I’ve always needed to backup all my photos, but never really found the time to setup a backup scheme… problem solved, I love it.

Now all I have to do is setup my wife with Dropbox, and get it to sync the photos from her phone, and share the two folders and we will be set in being able to get to each other’s photos.

If you are interested in signing up with Dropbox, please use this referral link and I will get a little extra space. Thanks 🙂

I had an epiphany the other day.

If you look at todays modern Apple iPAD or any similarly shaped and sized devices, and then watch some episides of Star Trek The Next Generation (ST:TNG) then you can see the similarities of the Personal Access Display Device (PADD) that some characters like Geordi LaForge used.

Again, just like the the early flip phone cell phones were inspired by the original series‘ communicators, we have another technology inspired by Science Fiction.

So, this begs to question, what else that was shown on ST:TNG or any of the later TV series and theater movies will come true?

I found a site that seems to have some promising info on it… http://www.stevepavlina.com/

I really need to empower myself in light of my previous post. It would be nice to have the courage and confidense to be self-employed and be good at it.

I have some ideas on what I may be able to do to make a living on my own. It will involve tying together a lot of different interests of mine. Maybe I can make a go of it this year.

I also started using Evernote and it seems to help me focus my thoughts a little, so once I get used to use Evernote to accumulate the info I need to make my ideas work as a self-employment strategy, I hope to start part-time and see what happens, if I can make a living at it, I will plow full speed ahead into it.

Lotus Notes – Google – iPhone sync

Posted in Computer Software, Employer Work, iPhone with tags , , , , , on 2010/11/03 by rmolby

I have always been frustrated with the disconnectedness of my Lotus Notes calendar at work and my personal calendar on my iPhone, but I have now found the solution:

http://www.awesync.com/

This product runs on your work PC, and after some faily simple configuration, synchronizes my work calendar with my Google calendar and, it in turn syncs with my iPhone.

AWESOME!!!
