CANCER Jan, 29, 2013

You are very good at making lists, Moonchild. Having a solid, black and white guide to doing what needs to be done makes you feel more secure. But the problem is that you have been so disorganized lately that even your lists are getting lost or they’re changing too fast to be meaningful. It’s time to sit down and make one big, serious list of everything. Mark down what you want to accomplish and the steps you need to take to do so. Let this be your master list. Post it somewhere that will be obvious every single day. Then follow the steps one by one. You will accomplish your goals if you take the list seriously.

Yup, I have made lists in the past, but they either don’t work, or get stuff stacked on top, or shoved into a pocket, or some other reason why they fail.

I guess I need to renew my list making effort, and actually follow through with them. I’m thinking I need to make a master list of major goals I want to accomplish, and then make a few mini list of sub-tasks that need to be accomplished in order to complete the main goals.

I suppose I can put the mini lists on my iPhone (or future Android phone), maybe using the Google Tasks in gMail.

We’ll see how that goes LOL.

CANCER Jan, 28, 2013

Communication could be foggy today, Moonchild. That’s why it’s so important that you express yourself clearly. And even if you’re going to great lengths to be clear, you will still need to confirm that your message is being understood. Sometimes people listen and nod, and yet they still have no idea what someone is telling them. So ask questions and start conversations to figure out whether you are communicating well. You have important things to say, but just saying them isn’t enough when you’re dealing with someone who isn’t listening properly.

I was in luck today, at work I was left alone for the most part, and at home my wife was not quite with the program either and we both spent time repeating what we had to say.

Life goes on…

CANCER Jan, 27, 2013

You may be feeling down because you’re feeling like someone is judging you. You may be self-conscious about what you perceive someone thinks about your life choices or your life in general. But most likely, Moonchild, you are harshly judging yourself. Your incredible sensitivity is being disrupted because you are under a lot of pressure, and the vibes you are picking up are not what you imagine. You are very hard on yourself, and so you are turning your fears inward. But you are special and you are loved, and very soon the universe will shower you with blessings that will show.

We shall see…

CANCER Jan, 26, 2013

You may not win the lottery this week, Moonchild. You may not have some fabulous windfall take you by surprise. But what you will experience is the lifting of your spirit. You have been in the doldrums recently, because you are beginning to think that a certain dream will never pan out. And while you may not experience overnight fulfillment of your dream, you should begin to feel an inkling that it’s on its way. Don’t lose this feeling – embrace it. The road ahead is about to twist and turn a bit; don’t be concerned about that. It is leading you in a new and wonderful direction.

I sure hope so!

The bitcoin logo

The bitcoin logo (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Well, it is Saturday, and as with most days when I am not at work, I still wake up fairly early, and while the rest of my family continues to sleep in, I get a chance to relax and devote a little time to catching up on the internet goings and occasionally update this blog.

So I have been following the Bitcoin phenomenon for a few months now, and I frequent Bitcoin faucets (websites offering free Bitcoin for a little interaction) and have been building up a small amount of the digital currency.

In the process of looking for more free Bitcoin sources, I found this site called BitBin and it allows you to post snippets of text and/or code and if you supply a Bitcoin address, any advertising revenue they get from this page being displayed, they give you a small share of the ad revenue.

I thought that is pretty neat, and also that I could combine that with another idea.

I was thinking about writing novelettes and short stories about the things that are important to me, some of which I share as blog posts here. All of these writings could stand on their own, but would combine into a bigger story line.

Where BitBin would come into play is that I would post paragraphs on BitBin, and then provide a link to the paragraph on this blog along with all the other links, giving the readers of this blog a chance to read my work as I produce it, while giving me a small amount of revenue from the click-through revenue from BitBin.

I think I will also add my PayPal and Dwolla account info with each post, so any one that thinks they would like to donate by making a micro-payment could do so.

Anyway, just some ideas… thrown out there and at you… feel free to comment…

Moonchild (Photo credit: 35mm Caliber)

CANCER Jan, 20, 2013

You may be tempted to make your love life your priority right now, Moonchild, but it would be wiser to attend to other important relationships. There may be a family member – such as a parent, sibling, or other close relative – who really needs your attention. There may have been a rift between the two of you recently, and you really need to take the steps to begin mending it. This individual, who was extremely important in your past, is also a huge part of your present and your future. Dedicate some time to nurturing this bond.

I have no idea who from my past would be so extremely important other than my father. There has never been a rift between us, but there has always been a lot of physical distance between us that has prevented us from interacting as much as we would love to.

My dad has always been important to me, and I supposed if we would be closer, distance wise, we could do so many things together that would help both of us to be much more productive.

Just spending time together when we can is always a pleasure. We are much alike and different in other way, but we always seem to get along and have much to talk and debate when we spent time together.

I really should try to spend more online time with my dad!

CANCER Jan, 19, 2013

If you’re having trouble figuring out how you will make it through a difficult situation, then just resolve to take it one day at a time. If that doesn’t seen doable, then take it one hour at a time. You are in a stressful phase right now, Moonchild, and you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Even so, you need to realize that the light is there. You may be standing in the shadows and unable to see the light, but as soon as you get through a lesson the universe is now guiding you through, you will see the light in all its dazzling glory. Meanwhile, persevere.

This is more or less how I live my life, one day or one hour at a time, but I always keep the future in mind.

I hate living my life not preparing in any form or fashion for the future. I don’t prepare for disaster, because no one knows what kind of disasters will come your way, rather  I prepare so I can live in the near future the same way I live in the present. I stock up on some food and supplies, when something is on sale or I break something, I buy one or two extras of whatever I need, that way I have spares on hand, at least for some things, like flashlights, batteries, matches, tinder, etc.

People that purely put their faith into their God, hoping and praying he will provide for them just for believing in him are clueless and don’t know their own faith. You will be judged on your actions, not on your faith. I don’t care what religion you believe in, your actions are what you need to look out for, your God already knows your faith. And it may surprise some readers of my blog that I even went there, as I have stated before that I am not religious, more spiritual than anything.

Anyway, living your life you can really do in many intervals.

For general living and existing, the hour by hour way is best, especially at work, and you might actually live minute by minute to get your work projects done.

Next would be the day by day living, here you plan for the next few days, such as for upcoming doctors appointments and such, as well as planning family meals. You look at your supplies and figure out what you are short of, you may only one can of beans or corn to fix a meal, or maybe you have all the boxed or canned items, and just the need the fresh ones, like meat or fresh vegetables.

But while you are checking your boxed or canned items, you might discover you only have one can of something left. So you get one or two extra cans of the item on your shopping trip.

Next are the longer term preparations.

Weekly, where you look ahead two or three months, you should check to see if you need to order birthday presents online or through a catalog, to take inventory of such things as bottled water, extra propane tanks for your grill, if the spares are empty, you set them out so you see them every day, and when the extra funds are available to fill one or two, you do so.

You also check your garden and wee what all is about to ripen up, and plan meals around your harvest, you check for store sales and stock up on end-of-season items for next year. Maybe some more winter gloves or summer flip-flops while they are on sale.

Finally, for the Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, and longer term cycles, you set goals, such as increasing your stored food and water reserves from a 3 day supply to a 7 or 30 day supply.

By planning for these increases in supplies you keep on hand, you are reducing your dependence on central authorities, and if you never need the supplies for yourself, you can use them to help others, maybe in your family or your neighborhood. Or, by not having to purchase groceries or propane this month, you can help someone financially or donate to your charity or buy that bigger birthday gift without upsetting your household status quo.

CANCER Jan, 18, 2013

Around this time last year there was something you wanted very badly. You wanted it so passionately and so adoringly that when it didn’t arrive on your doorstep (especially if it was the doorstep to your heart), you became very disillusioned and maybe a bit sad. And so, Moonchild, you chose to stop wanting it. But this desire is still burning deep inside you, even if you can’t still see the smoke or feel the heat. In the next few weeks, you will have a real chance to make this desire a reality. Don’t be afraid to reach for it.

Unless it has something to do with my interest in gardening I’m clueless as to what this desire is, LOL.

I guess these next few weeks will tell?

CANCER Jan, 17, 2013

Someone in your world is blowing something all out of proportion. To this person, a very minor issue seems like a really big deal. You can see the whole situation far more objectively, and you may feel inclined to express that viewpoint. But you need to know that doing so could actually escalate that minor issue into a major issue. Steer clear of someone who is behaving like a drama queen. Even though you don’t see anything really serious, it could wind up causing you a lot more aggravation than you think.

Yup, my wife’s 16 year old son, and I’m staying out of the conflicts… for now… :-O
